He did make a suite out of the full score, but if you’re going to do Scaramouche at all you might as well have the whole thing. As the final release in the conductor’s first-rate survey of the great Finnish composer's theater music, you really can’t do better.

Dvorak: Requiem / Wit, Warsaw Philharmonic

Saint-Saens: Symphony No 3 "Organ"… / Slatkin
The interplay between the orchestra and the organ is a constant source of delight, and the finale builds to a truly rousing conclusion. Altogether this is a very pleasing and worthwhile release.
